Vickar Nissan Completes SAFE Work Recertification Audit

This milestone highlights a shared commitment to building safer, stronger workplaces across Manitoba’s sales and service industries.

Winnipeg, Manitoba — The Sales and Service Safety Association (S2SA) proudly recognizes Vickar Nissan for completing its SAFE Work Recertification Audit. This achievement reflects Vickar Nissan’s continued commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, supporting employee well-being, and strengthening safety practices through ongoing improvement.

At Vickar Nissan, completing the SAFE Work Recertification Audit was an opportunity to strengthen the dealership’s existing safety practices and ensure they remain consistent across Sales, Service, Parts, and Administration

For the Vickar Nissan team, recertification reinforced the importance of keeping safety practical and visible in daily operations. From service technicians following proper equipment and hazard procedures to sales, parts, and administrative staff maintaining organized workspaces, each department plays a role in supporting a safer workplace.

Achieving SAFE Work Certification

In Vickar Nissan Management Team’s words

“Completing our SAFE Work Recertification Audit was not just about meeting a requirement. It was about making sure safety continues to be part of how we work every day,”

Maintaining SAFE Work Certification continues to support Vickar Nissan’s proactive safety culture, employee confidence, compliance, and commitment to continuous improvement.

S2SA supported Mercedes-Benz Winnipeg through every stage of the certification journey, from training and safety program development to internal auditing and continuous improvement planning. The certification not only helps reduce workplace incidents but also provides long-term benefits such as lower WCB premiums, greater employee confidence, and a stronger organizational culture.

“SAFE Work Recertification is an important part of keeping safety programs active, practical, and effective,” said Lee Rosenberg, Safety Program Director at S2SA. “Vickar Nissan’s continued commitment shows that safety is not a one-time project. It requires leadership, teamwork, and ongoing attention. Their efforts reflect the kind of safety culture we want to see across Manitoba’s dealerships.

Since launching the SAFE Work Certification program, S2SA has supported businesses across Manitoba’s sales and service sectors, from auto dealerships to equipment service, retail, rental, and related industries, in building safer and more productive workplaces. Vickar Nissan’s recertification reflects the continued importance of maintaining safety systems beyond the initial certification stage.

As S2SA continues to support companies on their certification and recertification journeys, the goal remains the same: to simplify safety and help businesses integrate it into everyday operations.
